What We Do Here
Screen Porch Installation in Cumming and Related Screen Work
Most Cumming calls begin with a deck, patio or open porch the family wants to use for more of the year. Screen porch installation in Cumming means a custom enclosure fitted to the posts and roof line you already have, while lighter jobs need only fresh mesh in sound frames. These are the services homeowners here ask for most:
- Custom screen porch installation for porches and covered decks that need a full enclosure
- Porch rescreening when the frame is solid but the screen is torn, loose or faded
- Eze-Breeze porch enclosures with vinyl panels that slide up and down
- Window screen replacement for bent frames and torn mesh on existing windows
Every job is residential, done at your home, and priced after we see the space. Window screen replacement in Cumming often rides along with porch work, since one visit can cover the whole house. If you are not sure whether your porch needs a new enclosure or only new screen, that is exactly what the free estimate visit sorts out.
Near Lake Lanier
Why Cumming Homeowners Screen In Their Porches
Cumming is the county seat of Forsyth County, and Lake Lanier, the reservoir created by Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River, sits close by. Homes near the lake and its coves see plenty of bugs on warm evenings. A tight screen keeps them off the porch while you still hear the water and feel the breeze. Families who spend weekends out on the lake often want the same open air back at the house.
For a screen porch contractor in Cumming, GA, local conditions shape the job. The completion of Georgia 400 helped turn Cumming into a commuter town, and plenty of families here spend their free hours at home. A screened porch gives those hours a comfortable place to land, with shade at midday and protection from mosquitoes after dark. Spring pollen across north Georgia is a reason too, because a fine mesh catches much of what drifts onto an open deck.
Some porches face Sawnee Mountain, where the preserve offers views over the city. For a porch with a view worth keeping, ask about Phifer BetterVue insect screen, which uses a smaller yarn for better visibility and high light transmittance. It is fabricated like standard fiberglass screen, so it works on porches, windows and doors alike.
An Eze-Breeze Porch in Cumming for Cooler Months
A screen alone is perfect for summer, but some owners want a porch they can close up on a chilly fall night. An Eze-Breeze porch in Cumming uses lightweight vinyl-glazed sliding panels that raise or lower to open about three-quarters of each window area. Vinyl glazing is lighter and more affordable than glass, and it turns a screened room into a three season space.
The Cumming Country Fair and Festival arrives every October, about when evenings start to cool. That is a good moment to picture the porch you want next spring, whether it is plain screen, Eze-Breeze panels or a mix of both. As your screen porch contractor in Cumming, GA, Russ Henderson can walk through the options with you at your home.

Cumming Screen Porch Questions
Do you build screen porches on lake homes around Cumming?
Yes. Many Cumming homes near Lake Lanier have covered decks or porches facing the water, and those are good candidates for a custom screen enclosure. We measure the openings you already have and fit the framing and screen to them. Call (678) 640-3405 to describe your porch and set up a free estimate at your home.
Will a screen block the view from my porch toward Sawnee Mountain?
Any screen changes the view a little, but some meshes are made to keep it clear. Phifer BetterVue insect screen uses a smaller yarn for better visibility and lets more light through than a standard fiberglass screen. It is also flame retardant. We can show you the difference during your free estimate so you can choose what suits your porch.
Should a Cumming porch get plain screen or Eze-Breeze panels?
It depends on how you plan to use the space. Plain screen is ideal for spring and summer evenings outdoors. Eze-Breeze vinyl panels slide up and down, so the room stays open on warm days and closes against wind and cooler air in the fall. Some owners choose screen first and add panels later. We will talk through both at your home.
Do you replace window screens in Cumming as well as porch screens?
Yes. Window screen replacement in Cumming covers torn mesh and bent frames on the windows you already have, and we also make new custom screens for windows that are missing them. Pairing window screens with porch work in one visit is often the simplest plan. Call Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, for a free estimate.
